Privacy policy

This policy describes what SummonSound collects when you use this website, try the LEMMA web demo, or buy LEMMA — and what we do with it.

Pre-launch — outstandingThis document has not been reviewed by a lawyer. Still to do: decide whether analytics will be enabled, and name the provider here if so; confirm the eight-year retention period against your accountant's advice.

01Who we are

This website is operated by Advait Karnatak, a Sole Proprietorship trading as SummonSound in India, Udyam registration UDYAM-UP-29-0254104. Our registered address is 17-C, Heritage Divine, Street No. 5, Gyan Khand-2, Indirapuram, Ghaziabad. You can reach us at support@summonsound.com.

02Information you give us

We only ask for information when there is something we have to do with it:

  • Checkout — your email address, so we can send your license and download details. If you give a name or country, we keep those with your order.
  • Support — whatever you include in a message to us, including the email address you write from.

We do not ask for information we have no use for, and we do not sell any of it.

03Payment information

Payments are processed by our payment providers — Razorpay and Stripe, depending on the method you choose. Your card or bank details are entered with the provider, not with us. We never receive or store your full card number.

The providers send our server a confirmation that a payment succeeded, failed or was refunded. From that we store an order record: the amount, the currency, the provider's reference, the status and the time. Each provider is a data controller in its own right for the payment it processes, under its own privacy policy.

04Purchase and license records

When a payment is confirmed we create an order record and issue a license key linked to it. We keep these so we can reissue a lost key, honor a refund request and meet accounting obligations.

The current release does not collect device identifiers, hardware fingerprints or activation telemetry. If a future version of LEMMA introduces machine activation, this policy will be updated to say exactly what is collected before that version ships.

05Cookies and browser storage

This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. The LEMMA web demo stores one value in your browser's session storage to remember that you have already passed the intro screen; it is cleared when you close the tab and never leaves your device.

Payment providers may set their own cookies on their own checkout pages while a payment is in progress.

06Analytics

The site is built with a single analytics interface that records product events such as opening the demo or starting checkout. It is switched off unless an analytics provider is configured, in which case this section will name the provider and what it records.

No payment details, card data or message content are ever sent to analytics.

07The web demo

The browser demo mixes video clips that are served from this site. It does not request microphone access, does not analyze audio, does not upload anything and does not require an account.

08How long we keep things

  • Order and license records: eight years, for accounting and tax record-keeping.
  • Support messages: kept while the conversation is useful, then deleted.
  • Session storage in the demo: until you close the tab.

Order and license records are kept for eight years from the end of the financial year of purchase, which is the record-keeping period Indian tax law expects of a business of this kind.

09International processing

Our payment providers and hosting operate internationally, so information related to your purchase may be processed outside your country. Each provider states in its own policy how it handles such transfers.

10Security

Payment confirmations are verified against each provider's cryptographic signature on our server before an order is marked paid, and provider secrets are held only in server-side configuration. Traffic to this site is served over HTTPS.

No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim to be certified against any particular standard.

11Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted where we are not required to keep it. Write to support@summonsound.com from the address you used at checkout so we can find your record.

Depending on where you live, local data protection law may give you additional rights. We will honor those rights where they apply; we make no claim to be certified under any particular regime.

12Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the effective date at the top of the page. Material changes that affect an existing purchase will be sent to the email address on the order.
